James married Mary Ann Murphy [scrapbook] daughter of William Murphy and
Elizabeth unk maiden Murphy on 26 Feb 1838 in Cloughjordan Parish,
Tipperary. Mary was born in abt 1820 in Gorey/Ballycanew (she was alive
at 1871 Census). Mary is believed to have died in Dec 1899, most likely
in Manchester, England. Mary's sister Ann Murphy lived with
them.. Mary would have been buried in Manchester, Lancashire,
England. No record of Mary, James or Ann after the 1871
Census. Mary was most likely from Gorey/Ballycanew area and moved
to Cloughjordan to work "in service" to be close to James, where they
eventually married at the Modreeny Parish Church. Shortly after
their marriage James's regiment was transfered to the Ionian Islands
where two of their children were born.

[Notes] 545 M iii James Hollingsworth was born in Mar 1846 in Manchester, Lancashire, England. + 546 M iv Thomas Nicholas Hollingsworth Sr. gr grandfather was born on 21 Nov 1847. He died on 15 Apr 1911. + 547 M v John Hollingsworth was born in Mar 1851. He died on 2 May 1923. 548 M vi Frederick Hollingsworth was born in Mar 1853 in Manchester, England.
